Health minister reveals insufficient pharmaceuticals and budget for emergency healthcare

During the 15th Asean Health Ministers meeting, the Union Minister of the Health Ministry Dr. Thet Khaing Win told that public health emergencies have many difficulties including insufficient in health workers, medicines, pharmaceutical equipment, and health budget.
The minister told that well-developed health system is important; and efforts should be made to reduce self-contribution by the public when getting healthcare.
The ministry will make effective use of future challenges and opportunities to improve the public healthcare services; and will liaise with other countries.
State Administration Council has approved a total of 861,291.825 million MMK for the Ministry of Health for 2022-23 FY.
