SAC, KNU/ KNLA-PC to discuss for overcoming today political crisis

State Administration Council (SAC) Chairman and KNU/ KNLA-PC Chairman is meeting today (May 26); and discussion will be focused on overcoming the current political crisis, General Secretary and the spokesperson of KNU/ KNLA-PC Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt told the NP News.

“Issues we are going to discuss regarding the union affairs won’t be too far from the PPST’s political stance and attitudes. The key is to find ways to overcome the current political crisis and dilemma. What can we find for the solution? We will discuss how we can reduce hostilities and the ongoing conflicts.”

In addition, the KNU/ KNLA-PC will include presenting about its ongoing projects related to health and development during the talk.

“We will discuss issues related to the stability and peace for our local communities. There are refugees and IDPs in surrounding areas territorially connecting with us. We will also discuss to get humanitarian assistance in these matters,” said Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt.

Delegation team of the KNU/KNLA – Peace Council led by its chairman General Saw Htaw Lay meets with Senior General Min Aung Hlaing today (May 26) for peace and terminating armed conflicts in Naypyidaw.

KNU/ KNLA-PC Chairman Gen. Saw Htaw Lay and vice-chairman Dr. Naw Ka Paw Htoo and central committee member Colonel Saw Maung Maung are reported attending the meeting.

Ten ethnic armed forces have registered to attend the peace talks invited by the SAC Chair. RCSS/SSA (Shan group) and NMSP (Mon group) have met with the SAC so far.
