Kayin State Govt visits peace-attended KNU/KNLA (PC) headquarters, provides educational materials

The Kayin State government’s delegation team led by the Kayin State Chief Minister Saw Myint Oo visited the headquarters of KNU/KNLA – Peace Council located in To-kawko, Kayin State on June 7.

The KNU/KNLA – PC attended the peace talk on May 26.

The Kayin State government offered educational materials for the students including 1500 dozens of exercise books and 5303 sets of textbooks from Kindergarten to Grade 10 to the KNU/KNLA-PC headquarters.

“This is bilateral coordination between the Kayin State government and us. The government provides us the educational materials in this school opening time as parts of the projects for regional stability and development,” the spokesperson of the KNU/KNLA-PC Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt told the NP News.

The regional government and the KNU/KNLA-PC discussed regional tranquility, education, health, and development issues. The two groups did not discuss politics, Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt added.
