A lecturer, township GAD staff shot dead in Tanintharyi

A Myanmar language lecturer and a clerk from General Administration Department (GAD) (township-level) were shot to kill in Launglon Township, Tanintharyi Region, according to the statement by State Administration Council (SAC) on June 13.

Armed terrorists entered Pantin Village located in Launglon, Tanintharyi on June 12 at an estimated 6:30 pm. Dr. Win Bo (43 yrs.) - a lecturer from Myanmarsar (Myanmar language) Department of Dawei University and Myat Myat Soe (45 yrs.) – a clerk from Township GAD, who both live in the village were shot dead at the scene, the statement said.

The two victims are currently employed in the civil occupations, added in the statement.

Authorities are investigating to seize and take legal action against the gun terrorists.
