Khit/Ye Pyae (NP News) - June 26
Employment Permit System for the job seekers who want to work in South Korea will soon be resumed, according to Public Overseas Employment Agency (POEA)’s announcement.
It was aimed to convene in early 2020 but was postponed due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
Applications will be accepted online soon for exams related to production, construction, agriculture, and livestock.
“The agency announcement did not mention the exam date. It released the announcement so that we can submit the applications. Those who did not have a chance to sit the exam in 2020 due to the Covid will take this time. Passport procedures will take two or three months,” a spokesperson from a Korean language center told the NP News.
This year EPS will be the computer-based test; eye test and body fitness test will be included.
A total of 40000 employees have passed the EPS until the 12th and 13th exams. From the beginning of this year, more than 2000 workers have been sent to Korea.
