Myanmar-Wanbao’s transmission tower blown up

No. 8 transmission tower that supports the overhead power line to Myanmar-Wanbao Company was blown up in Sagaing Region’s Sarlingyi Township on June 25, according to a local.

Destruction likely amounted to hundreds of millions of Kyat wrecking iron frames of the tower.

Young People Force (YPF) and Motherland Revolution Army claimed responsibility for the destruction.

In recent days, local PDFs attacked Tatmadaw’s security forces that took camp near Letpadaung Copper Mine Project located in Sarlingyi Township, Sagaing Region.
