NP News - June 27
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Myanmar in July to attend the 7th Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Foreign Ministers' Meeting, NP News’ source from the State Administration Council told.

The seventh Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Foreign Ministers' Meeting will be held in Bagan city.

Scholars expect that the Chinese Minister Wang Yi is going to meet with the SAC Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing during his visit.

Situations in Myanmar directly relate to China’s interests, and therefore China is very concerned about Myanmar’s internal affairs continuing its role constructively in its own way, Chinese Foreign Minister told during the 30th anniversary of China-ASEAN dialogue last year.

Likewise, Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn will also be attending the meeting.

Myanmar, China, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam involve in Mekhon-Lancang Cooperation.

Mekhon-Lancang Cooperation aims at bolstering socio-economic development of the regional countries, enhancing well-beings of the people from their respective countries by narrowing the development gap among each of them.
