Myanmar proposes to send 1,000 tons of rice to Sri Lanka as humanitarian aid to help its economic crisis told by the Ministry of Commerce.
Delegation of the ministry conducted a meeting on the donation proposal on July 13 in Naypyidaw.
Type of rice to donate, purchasing plans and processes, hiring containers, donation period, and expected costs were discussed.
With a 22m population, Sri Lanka is experiencing the worst economic collapse in its history with a shortage in electricity and food.
