Myanmar involved in honey exporters list to EU

According to information released by the Ministry of Commerce, Myanmar has been added to the list of countries that are certified to export honey to the European Union.
Honey produced by Myanmar received sufficient approvals for food safety since honey from different places of Myanmar was inspected its ingredients of pesticides or chemicals involvement every year since 2017.
Approximately 7000 tons of honey were produced in Myanmar per annum, of which 2600 tons were exported.
Honey price ranges USD 1600 per ton generally. A total of 1070.25 tons of honey were exported during six months in 2021-2022 FY from which USD 11.604 m was generated, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
At present, Myanmar exports its honey to Japan, China, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea.
