Export earns $4500m within three months

According to the Ministry of Commerce, the country earns USD 4500m from export within three months after 2022-23FY has commenced from April to July 8.
Agro-products, animal products, fishery products, woods, mining and industrial products were exported.
According to the ministry, USD 1001.591m was generated from exporting minerals, woods and related products, industrial and other products from state-owned sectors. From the private sectors, USD 3539.333m was generated from exporting fishery products and agricultural products.
Therefore, total export earning was USD 4540.924m from both state-owned and private businesses.
Rice market plays important in Myanmar. Therefore, the ministry plans to improve quality rice exports, Dr. Pwint San, the union minister of the Ministry of Commerce said.
As trade patterns are changing in today era, challenges have arisen in criteria of product quality, purchasing patterns, export patterns and changing trends, the minister said.
The country earned USD 3884.373m from exports in that of same period last year.
