Military captain and wife shot in Yangon’s Hlaing

A captain who is serving at the Defense Equipment Factory and his wife were shot and dead in Hlaing Township of Yangon Region on July 18 at an estimated 9 am, according to a resident near the incident.
Captain Aung Naing Phyo and his wife Jue Jue Aung were shot by a group of gunmen while they were in their car in front of Apartment No. 18 located in 2nd Ward, Bayintnaung 9 Street in Hlaing Township, the source confirmed to the NP News.
The two victims died at the crime scene.
Security forces investigated the scene after the incident.
Again in Twontay Township of Yangon Region, a man was shot and died at an estimated 7 am near the jetty.
The victim is reportedly known as Zaw Tun (45yrs). He was shot by two gunmen while he was preparing to open the shop located near the jetty. Zaw Tun died on the spot. The two gunmen left after they fired the gun.
