Three PDF members return to legal fold together with weapons, ammunition

Three young PDF members including two men and one girl were handed over to their parents on July 18. The three PDF members submitted their weapons and ammunition while they returned to the legal fold in Myaik, Tanintharyi Region, according to a statement released by State Administration Council.
These three were the very first persons who returned to the legal fold along with weapons and ammunition.
The three PDFs returning to the fold were from Bokebyin and Tanintharyi townships, and they did not commit crimes.
Authorities transferred them to their guardians after making them sign a confessional pledge.
There are 181 male PDF members and 50 females with a total of 231 youths who have re-entered the lawful society since June 6, 2022 after the authorities announced the invitation to come back into the legal fold for rehabilitation.
