Explosion at rice shop while making bomb kills two in Mon State

Two men died, and one was injured from the explosion in Mon State’s Kyaikmaraw on August 12 at an estimated 8:30 am while they were making bombs, according to Myanmar Police Forces.
The explosion occurred when the three men including the owner of “Mon Lay Rice Shop” Than Tun and his two workers were making and testing hand-made bombs within the rice shop, said the police.
The shop owner Than Tun and one of his workers died from injuries hit by debris and bomb fragments at the scene. One of them was injured and currently, he is receiving medical treatment at Kyaikmaraw public hospital, the police forces confirmed.
A hand-made bomb that hasn’t yet exploded was found near the scene. Authorities defused the bomb. Authorities are investigating the case to take legal action against those who participated in this incident.
