Plans for atomic energy use, space tech to bring off in Russia trip – Spokesperson

Leader of the Information Team of the State Administration Council Major General Zaw Min Tun said, recent trip to Russia of the Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing was able to bring off plans to implement atomic energy use and space technology in Myanmar.

The high-level delegation led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left for Russia on September 4 to attend the 7th Eastern Economic Forum.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing endeavored to uphold Russia-Myanmar bilateral relations in the aspect of grand strategy and strategic visions, and to enhance to protect national interests of Myanmar, Major General Zaw Min Tun said.

“We held talks and carried out vital works for the future of Myanmar. We made our first step in nuclear energy use in a safe way and space technology development,” he said.

Promoting bilateral trade, travel and tours, health, and education were discussed, he continued.

“To say abridge, it was a successful trip. Success won’t be attained without efforts for a country,” Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said.

Myanmar and Russia signed a roadmap for cooperation on the peaceful use of atomic energy at the EEF. For the Information Space: agreements were made on media projects between Myawaddy and Sputnik.

Ministry of Health discussed and agreed with relevant Russian officials on sending apprentices from medical and pharmaceutical universities from Myanmar to Russia.

Myanmar Consulate and a business center will also be opened in Vladivostok, Russia in the coming soon.

Russia will assist in the aerospace development in Myanmar, reports say.
