Rakhine armed group ‘Arakan Army’ known as ‘AA’ recently made an announcement that restrictions and inspections will be carried out on water transport and land transport.

The announcement was released by the AA on September 14.
It said Arakan Army will engage restrictions and inspections on vehicles traveling across waterways and roads as it witnessed that the Myanmar military is reinforcing troops and military equipment across Rakhine State.

Therefore, the AA warns transport business owners to report them before traveling and to cooperate in the inspections. In case of failure to report before the trip, it will be the responsibility of the travelers if any problem occurs during traveling.

Clashes become intense in Rakhine and Paletwa areas and there will be more fierce battles, the AA statement said.

Combined troops of the Arakan Army and Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (Bengali terrorists) attacked border guard police forces at Border Post -BP 40 on September 1 with mass excessive outnumbered troop forces. The rebel troops were nearly 500 forces while the border guard police forces were only twenty at the outpost. Tatmadaw reinforcement troops failed to help the small outpost to defend.
