SAC, KNU/KNLA-PC, DKBA discuss conformity of Union Accord with Constitution

Delegation of the State Administration Council, KNU/KNLA-PC and DKBA discussed the conformity of the parts of the Union Accord with Constitutional provisions during the second-time peace talk between them.

All parties held talks in detail on terms and agreements made in Union Accord Part I, II, and III and provisos prescribed in the 2008 Constitution.

Peace Process Steering Team’s Spokesperson Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt said that the country’s current crisis will be overcome only if all stakeholders who should be involved in the peace process are involved in peace-building.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing invited in person the leaders of the ethnic armed forces on April 22, 2022 to discuss peace and terminate the armed conflict.

Ten EAOs attended the peace talks separately and currently, the second round of the talks is holding between government and peace attending EAOs in Naypyidaw.
