The signing ceremony of the project agreement to build a modern ICP (Integrated Check Post) in India-Myanmar border town Tamu has been held on September 16 between the two nations, according to a press statement released by the Indian Embassy in Myanmar.

The ICP will be built with the Indian government's assistance in Tamu.

“The Indian side has already established such an ICP in Moreh,” the statement said.

The establishment of such modern ICPs on both sides borderline will give impetus to the border trade and tourism sectors and it will be boosting the socio-economic development of the border regions.
