Suu Kyi and Sean Turnell charged for three years each under State Secret Act

Five including former State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi and her Australian advisor Sean Turnell were charged with three years imprisonment each under State Secret Act by the Naypyidaw Prison Court on September 29.

Former State Counselor, Sean Turnell and three others including former minister of planning and finance Soe Win, Kyaw Win, and deputy minister Dr. Set Aung were prosecuted under the State Secret Act.

The Australian economic advisor Mr. Sean Turnell also faced a hearing at the court for violating Section 13 (1) of the Immigration Law. The case hasn’t yet made a verdict.

The former State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi has been charged with 23 years imprisonment for twelve cases.

The former minister Soe Win was granted bail for his health situation and now he has to be sent to prison after the court hearing, the source continued.
