Ordinary girl in twenty wins Miss Universe Myanmar 2023

A twenty-year-old sub-urban girl just won the pageant title of Miss Universe Myanmar 2023.
Zar Li Moe from Bhamo, Kachin State beat thirteen other contestants on the finale day in Yangon at Novotel Hotel on October 1, 2022.
“My parents had to sell a tractor which we relied on for our family economy to come to Yangon to participate in the contest,” she said in an interview with a local media after being crowned.
She did not get a chance to get crowned by the reigning Miss Universe Myanmar 2021 Thuzar Wint Lwin as she takes political asylum in the United States at present.
Myanmar did not convene the Miss Universe Myanmar contest in 2021 to represent the country in the 2022 Miss Universe Pageant due to unstable and turmoil internal situations.
This year's contest is the 9th occasion after the country returned to join the Miss Universe Pageant in 2013 with Moe Z Y after many decades of disappearance on the international stage.
The first runner-up for the 9th Miss Universe Myanmar is Ya Mone while the second runner-up is Thinzar Min Htet and completing the Top 5 are: Kendra Khaing and Kay Zin Khant.
Featuring as a model in the commercial of Cara Perfume Body in October 2020; Ruby Studio, Tayzarhtun Studio, Shweland gold shop, and Collamine collagen in December 2020; Byphasse roll-on in July 2021; and Cara Bird’s Nest in November 2021, 5’10” tall Zar Li Moe also won the Miss Tourism and Culture Universe Bhamo 2020 in April 2020.
