Explosion of the hand-made mine in Chanayetharzan Township, Mandalay Region injures four pedestrians, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

According to the news release from the Myanmar Police Force, an explosion occurred on the sidewalk island between 62 street x 27 street and 28 street on 9th October (Full Moon Day of Thadingyut) at an estimated 9 am in Pyaygyimyathman ward located in Chanayetharzan township.

Three women in their twenties and another 42 years old woman, altogether four, were wounded in the incident, and are being provided medical treatment at the Mandalay General Hospital, said the police.

“Two glass window panes and three doors from Shwe Mann Hotel which is still under construction; the rear light of 9A/5962 LATIO car and a window of 1E/8394 PRADO car were damaged by the explosion,” the announcement said.

Similarly, the ward general administration office of Chanmyatharzi was attacked by a grenade round at about 7 pm on 9th October, the Myanmar Police Force announced.

Two terrorists on a bike driving down from Sagaing Highway threw the grenade into the office and ran away.

Three young men aged ranging from 15 to 24 were injured in the incident by flying debris of the bomb; and they were sent to the Mandalay General Hospital for medical treatment, police said.
