Commodity flow be better as direct waterway between Beibu Gulf Port and Yangon Port started

Chinese embassy said, in the statement released on 31 October by the embassy, that export/import #commodity flow between China and Myanmar is expected to be better in the upcoming period since the direct waterway corridor between Beibu Gulf Economic Port and Yangon port terminal has been opened.

This will be a new corridor within the Beibu Gulf Port- #RCEP regional waterway.

Four crafts are scheduled to run weekly passing through Qinzhou-Nansha-Shekou-Khlan-Yangon- Belawan-Khlan-Nansha-Shekou-Hai Phong-Qinzhou stopovers.

The upcoming new sea path will play important and assist in getting easier and better commodity flow in transporting and warehousing, the Chinese embassy expects.

The shipment way is projected to take 12 days from Qinzhou to Yangon, which means it will save 40 percent in the shipping hours including transit stopovers in the old route.

According to the statistics and data released by the Ministry of Commerce, trade volume between Myanmar and China were 3779.391 million USD, until end of August 2022.
