Myanmar national literature award winner killed in a robbery

A couple of retired academic staff, one of which won the National Literature Award dating back in history was killed in a #robbery at their home in recent days in Yangon’s Mingalar Taung Nyunt township.
The couple was found dead with stab wounds in their apartment located in Kandawlay Ward, Mingalar Taung Nyunt township on 30 October.
Pieces of jewelry and properties owned by the old couple were lost, reports say.
The victims were identified as a retired lecturer from Physics Department at Yangon University Myint Wai who also won the National Literature Award and his wife's teacher Khin Khin San.
The former lecturer Myint Wai wrote many articles on Physics and science-related essays throughout his lifetime. He was 78 and his wife was in her 70s when they were killed.
