More than 100 Bengalis arrested in Kawkareik

A total of 101 #illegal_immigrants of #Bengalis were seized in Kawkareik of Kayin State, who traveled and passed through #Kawkareik with five automobiles and headed to #Myawaddy, according to the police officer from Kawkareik township.

The alien Bengalis were seized on 2nd November at an estimated 3:30 pm by a joint of security forces and inspection teams near Hlaingwa Bridge inspection gate.

The authorities stopped and inspected the vehicles that headed to Myawaddy from Kyonedoe, Kayin State.

The Tiger Hilux vehicle that was driven by Aung Naing Moe who lives at No. 2 Sein Nagar Lane, ward Number 2 in Myawaddy, and the Surf brand motor vehicle that was driven by Saw Wah Htoo who lives in Weitzawkone Village in Kawkareik, were stopped and inspected.

Also, a Mitsubishi Brand vehicle driven by Saw Larr Htoo from Myaing village of Wawlay township; a Hilux motor vehicle, driven by Saw Myo Kyaw from Myawaddy’s Ward Number 3; and a Surf brand motor vehicle driven by Nyo Linn Oo from No 4 ward, Tawyakyaung Road in Myawaddy township were also stopped to make necessary investigations.

Upon investigation, the abovementioned inspected five vehicles carried undocumented and illegal entering of Bengalis, 78 males and 23 females, altogether 101 Bengalis who entered Myanmar through the routes from Buthidaung of Rakhine State.

The seized aliens’ final destination is Malaysia, they admitted during the interrogation. The aliens received help from the agents from Rakhine’s Rathedaung to trespass.

The arrested alien Bengalis and five local drivers are detained at the Kawkareik District Police Station. The police authorities are conducting necessary investigations to file the case under the #Myanmar_Immigration_Act, Section 367 of the Penal Code, and Section 8 of the Export/Import Law.
