Russia’s Roscongress arrives in Myanmar for a spurt of collaboration

#Russia Federation’s high level investment promoting body ‘#Roscongress’ just arrived in #Myanmar these days to move up either G2G or B2B or whatsoever of economically alliance between the two nations as ‘standing together’.
The Roscongress is on an ad hoc basis to expand Russian businesses in Myanmar and to execute its business tasks assigned.
“The Roscongress carries its own special missions as assigned by the Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to foster a move up implementations of the investments that were bilaterally agreed in the previous #Eastern_Economic_Forum that was held early September 2022,” Major General Zaw Min Tun said.
Arrival of the Russian top ranking economic foundation coincidently the same time holding the #ASEAN Summit in Cambodia’s Phnom Penh, that Myanmar refuses to attend in response to the ASEAN’s violation of the article 2 and 20 of the ASEAN Charter.
A jump of business cooperation and projects are expected to execute in many sectors, especially in aqua-marine and fishery products, agricultural and related sectors, and gems and stones.
Myanmar’s Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Ministry (MIFER) and Russian Roscongress Investments Fund signed the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in investments and trading matters on 8th November in Naypyidaw.
The Roscongress Foundation is reportedly projected to stay in Myanmar for more days to carry out effective initial steps to execution of uplifting trade and investments, travel and tourism, agriculture, mining, industry, electricity, energy, culture and education sectors with Myanmar.
Myanmar business entities sparkle with anticipations on Myanmar-Russia economic collaborations.
Kyaw Moe is a businessman running a corporate business. He remarks, “There will be more external markets for Myanmar to export marine and fishery products. Primarily, we have to rely mainly on Thailand, China and sometimes Bangladesh for export. For the Russia side, fishes, prawns and other fishery products are in short supply. Therefore, that will be win-win benefits.”
