Myanmar ministers visit Rosatom’s RENERA to study energy storage system for EV

Myanmar is currently conducting to develop the #electric_vehicle_sector in which battery is the main part of the vehicle.
The Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister of the Ministry of Electric Power Thaung Han and the Union Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology Myo Thein Kyaw made a visit to #RENERA (#Рэнера) in Moscow on 16 November and studied electric vehicles and energy storage systems/ battery.
RENERA (Рэнера) is a part of #Rosatom State Corporation, one of the global technology leaders with the resources and competencies to successfully operate in all areas of the nuclear power production chain.
The ministers studied Energy Storage Systems (ESS) based on lithium-ion, which lays a particular necessary system for the stable distribution of power in connection with the national power grid system for the solar and wind power plants. That will be further expanded as the renewable energy in the electricity production sector in Myanmar.
Myanmar is trying to build a friendly Russia-Myanmar bilateral cooperation in the electricity sector.
The company’s Director of Business Development, Natalia G. Leonteva, gave brief explanations of the factory history and future and current business plans of it.
The Ministry of Commerce of #Myanmar had issued directives on the import of electric vehicles with related rules and regulations in recent days.
