Myanmar seeks potential FDIs in blue economy

The Southeast Asian country, #Myanmar, sought potentialities of incoming foreign investments in the country’s #blue_economy sector during the forum held with twenty countries others from #China_Indian_Ocean Region.
The China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Development and Cooperation was held on 21 November 2022 via video conferencing. The Union Minister for International Cooperation #Ko_Ko_Hlaing attended it.
During the meeting, he underlined that Myanmar is exploring the possible priority areas of investments for promoting blue economy and welcomes technical assistance in ocean governance and digital transformation in blue economy.
The Union Minister Ko Ko Hlaing reportedly said as quoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “The countries in the region including Myanmar were coordinating with China to explore specific areas for potential cooperation opportunities to enhance the global development and cooperation.”
Ko Ko Hlaing expressed his sincere appreciation to the China International Development Cooperation Agency and Yunnan Provincial Government for their efforts to the forum.
