Death bodies with ABSDF badged uniforms seized in Katha battle- SAC

The State Administration Council (SAC) stated that the death bodies of insurgents with #ABSDF badged uniforms and ammunitions were seized in the crossfire occurred in Katha Township, #Sagaing Region.

ABSDF stands for All Burma Students’ Democratic Front which arose after 1988 uprising.

Crossfire occurred on December 6 at an estimated 6 am while the security forces were conducting security operations in Katha township as the joint forces of #KIA insurgents and #PDF_terrorists started open fire.

The insurgents set fire the civilian houses along their way of retreating to the east of the village. A total of 20 houses out of 160 were destroyed in the fire, according to the statement.

The security forces seized death bodies of rebels in the uniforms with the ABSDF badges, one M-22 rifle, 40 cartridges, two mags and other related materials after the clash.

The ABSDF is one of the NCA signatory groups but rejected to attend the peace talk invited by the SAC Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
