The reported data says that it has been more than 5,000 civilians who were killed in the #arbitrary_killings which arose by the country’s crisis.

According to the statistics, it has been a total of 6,045 citizens who died in the conflicts from February 2021 to December 2022. The mentioned data represents the statistics collected by the NP News and includes fatalities of Buddhist monks, civil staff, police and average civilians. It excludes casualties of Tatmadawmen, and members of EAOs and PDFs during the clashes.

In fact, a total of 5,038 unarmed civilians were brutally killed under terror acts while approximately 6,000 others were injured in the terror plots.

Again, a total of 497 police members sacrificed their lives in the #terror_assassination while 1,500 others were wounded, the reports say.

Similarly, fatalities in protests and other incidents counted up to 510.

“We all know that how our country has been suffered. Fatality of unarmed civilians has been over 7,000. The most sadness is, I have never ever seen in the country’s history that Buddhist monks are brutally killed,” the chairman of the People’s Party Ko Ko Gyi said.

“It will be leading to the anarchism if the household and village/ward administrators resigned from their ranks as they are threatened. Besides, extrajudicial killings have also been arising, no one is taking responsibilities on it but unarmed people were gone and the children being orphans. The perpetrator never confessed. So, there is a question, are we all going forward neglecting all these?” Ko Ko Gyi said.

Currently, fire exchanges are occurring between Tatmadaw and ethnics armed groups and and PDFs mostly in Kachin State, Kayin State, Sagaing Region and Magwe Region.
