No Rohingya in Myanmar as per census in colonial era: Deputy Commander-in-Chief

Myanmar Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services Vice-Senior General Soe Win asserted that there is no such Rohingya in Myanmar as records and censuses taken in British colonial age in 1881 said ‘#no_Rohingya in Myanmar’.
He highlighted it during the meeting on Central Committee for Census that was held in Naypyidaw on January 20.
Censuses were taken, before Independence, in 1872, 1891, 1901, 1911, 1921, 1931 and 1941. Records in those censuses are used until these days.
Then, National Censuses were taken in 1973, 1983 and 2014. The current Myanmar government aims to take an update National Census in 2024.
