Such destructive plots have started in December 2021. Buildings, fixed assets and documents were destroyed in the incidents.

As per announcements made by the State Administration Council, three UEC offices in Pharpon and Kyainseikgyi townships in Kayin State were attacked by bombs and artilleries in which office properties and documents were destroyed.

Similarly, three Election sub-Offices in Tamu, Pinlebu and Salingyi townships in Sagaing Regions were also attacked by mines and torched which leaving damages in building parts and polling materials.

Again, two offices of the sub-commission of the UEC in Palaw in Tanintharyi Region and Htilin in Magwe Region were attacked by the PDF terrorists, according to the SAC statement.

Three election sub-offices in Mindat, Kanpalet and Thantlang townships in Chin State were also sabotaged and burnt including polling equipment.

Also in Kayah State, two sub-offices in Demoso and Hpruso townships were planted mines and exploded. The office-use motorcycle, furniture and polling station equipment were also destroyed.

According to the SAC, due to these sabotages to the election offices, about 367.583 million worth office properties and polling station equipment were destroyed.

As a matter of fact, the militant terrorists are committing murders on groundless accusations and destroying and burning down state-owned infrastructures such as hospitals and schools.

Therefore, people’s collaboration is needed to stop these terrorist acts such as planting explosives, attacking with artilleries and guns, arsons and sabotages on state-owned infrastructure since these terrorist acts are hindering country’s development and stability of the state.
