Breaking News: SAC imposes Martial Law in regions/states

The State Administration Council announced six Martial Law orders this evening.
With the SAC’s Martial Law Order 1/2023, 2/2023, 3/2023, 4/2023, 5/2023, and 6/2023 dated 2 February 2023.
Executive and judiciary power in 11 townships in Sagaing Region, seven townships in Chin State, five townships in Bago Region, five townships in Magwe Region, one township in Mon State, two townships in Kayin State, four townships in Kayah State, and two townships in Tanintharyi have been transferred to the following Commanders: Commander of the North-West Command, Commander of the Southern Command, Commander of the South-East Command, and Commander of the Coastal Region Command respectively to exercise the Martial Law in accordance with Section 419 of the State Constitution to enforce security, rule of law and community peace.
