SAC plans to install e-voting system

As per information, the Union Election Commission (#UEC) is planning to develop an online voting system in the upcoming #election.
The UEC explained the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM), including functions of the Control Unit, Balloting Unit-Main, Extension), Verification Unit, and other related structures and functions to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on February 8.
The UEC Spokesperson Khin Maung Oo said during a press conference held in November 2022 that there are possibilities to hold the upcoming election with the online voting system.
“Free and fair election will be convened at any situation since the country is heading to a multiparty democratic system,” Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said during the State Administration Council meeting held in Naypyidaw on January 23, 2023.
