SAC, NMSP discuss amending Constitution based on federal, democratic norms

According to the news released made by the State Administration Council (SAC), the SAC and New Mon State Party (#NMSP) met and discussed amending Constitutional sections for building the Union based on democracy and the federal system.
The peace delegation led by the Lieutenant General Yar Pyae and the delegation led by the Vice-Chairman of the NMSP Naing Aung Min attended the meeting held on February 13 in Naypyidaw, according to the statement released by the SAC.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged their opinions on amending the Constitutional sections that are fundamental to building the Union based on democracy and federal norms and values, the statement said.
The two groups will reportedly continue the discussion on February 14, according to the statement.
