Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing assured to make attempt to hold the upcoming #election in #Rakhine_State at the region-wide scale.

He underlined it during his visit to Rakhine State in recent days.

The Army Chief requested to insert all cooperative efforts for the prevalence of laws and orders in order to be able to conduct regional development in the State.

After imposing the new Political Party Registration Law by the SAC, the political parties are reportedly submitting for the party registration. In Rakhine, Arakan Front Party (AFP) led by Dr Aye Maung has submitted for the party registration at the Union Election Commission (UEC) to run at regional level.

In 2020 General Election (results of which were annulled for vote rigging), there were nine constituencies that were excluded from convening the election for security reason.

On the other hand, the Arakan Army remarked it would make no agreement or objection on the upcoming fresh election.
