Drugs worth of over 150m kyats seized in Kunhing, Shan State

According to the Anti-Drug Squad, #narcotics and #opioids which worth more than 150m kyats were captured in Kunhing Township, Southern Shan State on March 14 at an estimated 5 pm.

The Anti-Drug Squad conducted inspection on the express way of Kunhing-Kar Li.

Drugs were found on the vehicle (MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER) driven by Sai Aung Kyaw Myat, 25 years old.

During the inspection, 38 blocks of heroin weighing 12.654 kg worth of 151.848m kyats and 8 kg raw poppy worth 2.4m kyats, and one cell phone were found in the vehicle and confiscated, according to the police.

Currently, Sai Aung Kyaw Myat has been charged under the law on narcotic drugs and psychoactive drugs at Kunhing township police station. The smuggling chain is on process of identification by the authorities.
