Companies from Myanmar, China signed 9 trade agreements

Nine trade agreements were signed between eight companies from Myanmar and nine from China especially in agricultural and electronic products sectors.

The signing ceremony was held on May 26 during Myanmar (Naypyidaw) – China (Lincang) Trade Fair that was held at Myanmar International Convention Centre II (MICC-II) in Naypyidaw.

“The agreements were made for cooperation in commerce of the companies between Myanmar and China that participated in the trade fair. The agreements involve like Myanmar will export agricultural products whereas the Chinese companies will import electronic products,” said Dr Thet Lwin Oo, the director of the Trade Promotion Department under the Ministry of Commerce.

The companies signed in the agreements involved companies running beans and pulses to export beans; and a rice company to export rice and broken rice. Some signed to import electronic products and food products, Dr Thet Lwin Oo added.

Other sectors involved beverages, medical and pharmaceutical products, electronics and electric vehicles.

Myanmar (Naypyidaw) – China (Lincang) Trade Fair has been holding from May 25 to 28.
