Myanmar invites China to invest in infrastructure construction projects

The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) invited China to invest in infrastructure projects including technology requirements in Myanmar.

The UMFCCI Chairman Aye Win addressed it during his speech in the meeting with the Chairman of Yunnan Provincial General Chamber of Commerce in Kunming, Chaina on August 15.

During the meeting, the UMFCCI Chairman informed that the Chinese entrepreneurs who are interested to import raw materials and technologies for micro, small, medium and enterprises; and production sector in Myanmar.

Since China is one of the leading countries in advanced energy sector in the world, the UMFCCI chairman invited China to invest in the related sectors in Myanmar.

What is more, during the meeting, the UMFCCI chairman also urged China counterpart to approve ASAP for fruit registration at the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC).

In addition, in order to promote the trade in agricultural products between the two countries, the federation is coordinating with the relevant departments to make the payment system in yuan-kyat banking system easier and faster commodity flow in the border trade route.

The Chairman of UMFCCI also addressed that it is a good step for Myanmar for better international trade, investment and business, human resource development, and infrastructure development through the meeting.
