Myanmar opens tourism for current season with Myeik Kyunsu

According to the travelling businessmen from Myeik, Taninthayi Region, the regional tourism businesses have been unveiled for this opening season since Thidingyut holiday.

The Myeik region tourism has been plummeted for three years since the Covid-19 pandemic.

The destinations where visitors mostly visit are Laykyun (King Island), Thameehla Kyun, Don waterfall, Donyaungmine, Smart Island, Padankyun, Kyal Laik and Bayli.

Prices for adult individual ranging from 200,000 kyat to 350,000 per night, according to the local travel agencies.

However, there are challenges for boosting the tourism in Myeik region including high prices for air tickets and tight flight schedules.
