A responsible personnel from the association said “In our southern part of Shan State, it is still okay. And then, we have security measures for the festivals. The Fire Balloon Festival is scheduled to be held”.
Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Fire Balloon Festival is planned to be held for seven consecutive days starting from 21st November to 27th November in Taunggyi Awayyar field.
He continued saying “We have a list of fire balloons to be released; 63 balloons to be released in the daytime and another 63 balloons to be released in the evening. Therefore, there are altogether 126 balloons to be released.”
The in-charge at the association stated that the fire balloons will be released from 1 pm to 4 pm for daytime events and from 5 pm until the closing of the event for nighttime activities.
