Myanmar government has now liberalized rules and restrictions and invited the terrorist armed groups to join onto the legal paths.
The State Administration Council (SAC) released statement on evening of September 26th which invites all terrorist armed groups involving ethnocentric armed organizations, terrorist organizations and PDF terrorists to cooperate in the lawful political parties mean, the election mean and the politically dialogue approach by surrendering weapons so as to resolve the political dilemma.
However, the ethnocentric armed forces make fun of this constructive invitation. The Karen National Union spokesperson Saw Taw Nee lashed out, “It has no substance and unrealistic approach.” Saw Taw Nee yelled three baselines for the dialogue, other ethnocentric groups agreed with him.
The three baselines involve: demanding the Tatmadaw to leave out from the politics; to vow to the civilian government; to accept penalties for committing crimes against civilians.
Ironically, the insurgent groups will remain holding weapons. Will they agree to surrender weapons? In addition, although the Tatmadaw forces strictly follow the Rules of Engagement in the frontline battles. But the non-State troops never or need not to follow the ROE or the Geneva Convention or whatever. Will they take responsibility for those war crimes that were committed by those ethnocentric armed forces in the internal conflicts? Is it fair that the ethnocentric armed groups demanding the Tatmadaw to leave out from the country’s politics unless they don’t give up their weapons? Is it realistic that Tatmadaw should give up its seats in the parliament of a country which has insurrections of around 100 ethnocentric armed forces? Answer for all questions will be ‘NO’.
In fact, Tatmadaw is committing its planned processes with the vision to convene a fresh election in 2025. The Nationwide Census is scheduled to take on October 1st. Reliable and accurate voter list will be produced by this Nationwide Census. –
