Spokesperson of the State Administration Council (SAC) Major General Zaw Min Tun stated that China will not accept any efforts to destabilize Myanmar by exploiting its territory.
He made the above statement in response to media inquiries on Sunday afternoon at the military airport in Naypyidaw.
During a visit to China from November 5 to 10, a high-level delegation from Myanmar, led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, met with several key Chinese officials, including Chinese Premier Mr. Li Qiang, the Party Secretary of Yunnan Province, and the Party Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee.
Maj Gen Zaw Min Tun stated that during the meetings, China expressed strong support for Myanmar's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and stability. He also mentioned that China made it clear that it would not accept any individuals or groups opposing Myanmar from using Chinese territory as a base.
"China has stated that it will not accept and strongly opposes any actions that seek to harm and undermine the interests of Myanmar within Chinese territory,” Maj Gen Zaw Min Tun said.
The SAC’s spokesperson emphasized that Myanmar also reaffirmed its support of One china policy, stating that it would take actions to prevent individuals or groups opposed to China from establishing a foothold within Myanmar.
He further stated, "Politically, we have received consistent support from China in strengthening the political systems of both countries."
