According to the announcement made by the Information Team of the State Administration Council, it is reported that Faculty of Medicine of the Chulalongkorn University rejected the applications of two Myanmar female students who applied at the university with fake medical degrees that were issued by the entity affiliated with the exile and terrorist group National Unity Government (NUG).
It is learned that the fake medical certificates were issued by the illegal Interim University Council of the University of Medicine, Mandalay.
Su Pyae Myo Thwet, 26 years old girl, and Thinzar Htet, 25 years old, applied for school admission at the Chulalongkorn University with fake certificates that were issued by Disloyalty Civil Servant Khin Maung Lwin who is a former rector of the Mandalay University of Medicine. Khin Maung Lwin is the patron of the outlaw organization, Interim University Council of the Mandalay University of Medicine, under the exile and terrorist group ‘NUG’.
As a matter of fact, the two girls were already expelled by the University of Medicine, Mandalay since they were absent to report and attending the classes of the Medical University of Mandalay in 2022, 2023 and 2024 although the school informed them three times to report and attend respectively.
On 19 November 2024, Chulalongkorn University conducted background checks at the University of Medicine, Mandalay to confirm their certificates since they were suspected as the counterfeits.
Since the certificates were witnessed counterfeits and issued by the outlaw NUG, Chulalongkorn University rejected their applications.
In Myanmar, after the 2021 political transition, many university students and basic education students were forced, pressured, or voluntarily refused to attend schools and education as they claimed as the education under the military system. –
