Senior General Min Aung Hlaing launched 'King Thalun' Frigate at Tatmadaw (Navy) 77th Anniversary ceremony

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the 77th Anniversary ceremony of the Tatmadaw (Navy) on the morning of December 24, where he christened and launched a 135-meter frigate constructed by the Tatmadaw (Navy) at the Naval Dockyard Command Headquarters in Thanlyin Station.
Also present at the ceremony were retired commanders-in-chief (Navy) and their wives, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win and his wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung and his wife, union-level dignitaries and their spouses, union ministers and their spouses, the Chief Minister of Yangon Region and his wife, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their spouses, the Commander of Yangon Command, the Commander of Naval Control Command, commanders of naval region commands, members of the war veterans' organization, and invited guests.
The centerpiece of the ceremony was the naming and launching of a 135-meter frigate constructed by the Navy, along with the commissioning of two 63-meter submarine destroyers. Following the launch, Admiral Htein Win presented details about the frigate's construction and specifications.
At the naming ceremony for the 135-meter frigate, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing praised the vessel's name, 'King Thalun.' He honored this designation in recognition of significant achievements in suppressing domestic enemies, defending against external threats, and successfully implementing development standards to advance the nation's progress.
On December 15, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing also attended the 77th Anniversary Celebration of the Myanmar Air Force, held at the Flying Training Base in Meiktila Station. The ceremony included the induction of new aircraft and helicopters to enhance the nation's air power capabilities. –
