According to U Ko Ko, chairman of the Union Election Commission (UEC), the population lists submitted by the Central Committee for Field Collection have been effectively integrated into the Central Voter List Management System (CVLMS).
On January 8, during a coordination meeting on the filling of household registration numbers and the field verification of population lists, the UEC Chairman U Ko Ko made the statement as mentioned above.
The Chairman of the Union Election Commission (UEC) stated that the commission is working to ensure readiness from all sides for the election. He emphasized that the completeness and accuracy of the voter list is crucial for any election. The voter list will be compiled based on the population list provided by the Ministry of Immigration and Population, using Form (66/6), and on-site population lists submitted by the General Administration Department.
The UEC has successfully incorporated the population lists into the CVLMS, and strong cooperation between the commission and the General Administration Department is crucial for this process. This teamwork will help ensure the voter list's accuracy, improve voter access to polling stations, and enable effective on-site verification of population records. Chairman U Ko Ko also emphasized the need for assistance from regional and state governments to support the verification process.
The meeting also covered discussions on the verification activities and procedures that will be conducted in collaboration with various ministries. The Deputy Director-General of the UEC Office outlined the steps to ensure household numbers are accurately recorded when compiling the voter list, in accordance with designated polling stations.
The session concluded with a detailed presentation, followed by closing remarks from Chairman U Ko Ko. The meeting was attended by UEC members, officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Immigration and Population, as well as regional and state election officials. –
