Myanmar actively collaborates with neighbours in combatting online scams: SAC Chairman

Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Senior General Min Aung Hlaing stated that Myanmar is actively and extensively cooperating with international authorities to combat the online scams.
He addressed it on February 3 during the cabinet meeting in Naypyidaw.
Senior General also highlighted that the country experienced difficulties due to the online scams and frauds and thus, actions have to be taken to control them.
Accordingly, government is actively participating in control measures toward the online scam businesses, he stated.
Not only those who involved in online scams, but also drug smugglings and other crimes have to be taken effective measures, Senior General said.
At present, authorities of Myanmar, China and Thai will collaborate in suppressing the online scam businesses that are taking bases in Shwe Kokko and KK Park in Myawaddy on the Thai-Myanmar borderline.
