The Myanmar Ports Authority (MPA) is planning to build a new international coastal port near Kawthaung Port in Tanintharyi Region.
It is reported that measurements, analysis, and design work will be carried out to construct the site on the land adjacent to the southern side of the Royal Concrete Pier at Kawthaung Port.
Therefore, the MPA invites experienced and interested companies to submit tenders.
Tender forms can be purchased at the MPA Headquarters, No. (10), Pansodan Road, during office hours from November 20 to 28.
The tender will be opened on December 5, and details can be inquired from the Civil Engineering Department, according to the Tender Acceptance and Scrutiny Committee.
Currently, preparations are underway to build a new international coastal port in Kawthaung, as priority is being given to approving import licenses for Thai-Myanmar maritime trade via the Ranong-Kawthaung-Ranong waterway.
The original reinforced concrete pier has also been extensively renovated using cranes to accommodate more cargo ships. –
