Estimated construction time for Shweli Bridge of Muse-Mandalay Railway Project be 26 months

Approximately 26 months will be taken as the implementation period to construct the Shweli Bridge that is involved as one in a total of 124 bridge projects from Muse-Mandalay Railway Mission, according to Summary Report on EIA for Bridges and Culverts Along Muse-Mandalay Railway.

The report was developed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation.

The project contains constructing 124 bridges, 60 tunnels, power stations and electricity extension plans.

Total length of the 124 bridges under the main project will be 16.9 percent of the whole railroad.

Among 124 bridges, Shewli Bridge, Nanma Bridge, Namtu Myitnge Bridge and Goteik Nanbantan two-way bridge will be the major bridges.

According to the report, construction periods will take 26 months for Shweli two-way bridge, 24 months for Nanma Bridge, 23 months for Namtu Myitnge Bridge, and 48 months for Goteik Nanbantan Bridge respectively.

Technologies will be steel truss arch bridge method and cable-stayed bridge methods and cable-stayed bridge methods, according to the report.

Total length of the whole project is 409.69 kilometer.
