Yangon Govt bans playing fireworks

Firework, one of the prominent features of Thadingyut Festival, is banned this year by Yangon authority to save unexpected disasters and to prevent freighting among public amid of unstable situations.
The Yangon Region government released an announcement that playing and selling fireworks within Yangon Region will cost severe charges.
Full moon day of Thadingyut for this 2022 (Myanmar era 1384) will fall on coming Sunday (October 9).
Public holidays for Thadingyut will start from October 8 to 10 while schools will be closed from October 8 to 16.
