Yangon Water Bus resumes operations

Yangon’s intra-city water transport system known as Yangon Water Bus has recommenced its services yesterday (October 6) with 500 kyats per passenger after two years of suspension.
The opening ceremony was held at Lan Thit jetty.
Daily schedules will charge 500 kyats per head. However, the special route on Friday and Weekend will charge 5,000 kyats per adult and 2,000 kyats per child.
Special trip schedules to Twantay will charge 25,000 kyats per passenger only on weekends, the operator company ‘Tint Tint Myanmar Co.,Ltd' announced. Details of the travel schedules can be observed on the official page of the ‘Yangon Water Bus’.
The water bus system was firstly started on October 6, 2017 and suspended the services for different reasons on September 27, 2019.
The operator company resumes its intra-city water transport services within Yangon Region with two watercrafts between Botahtaung jetty, Pansodan jetty, Sarparchaung jetty, and Antgyi jetty.
The Tint Tint Myanmar company resumes its services after they made coordinating with businessmen from Thailand and Singapore.
