Myanmar-Russia sign MoU on cooperation in trade routes

Myanmar’s #Investment_and_Foreign_Economic_Relations_Ministry (MIFER) and Russian #Roscongress_Investments_Fund signed the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in investments and trading matters on 8th November, the State Administration Council released a statement.
The Union Minister of the MIFER Dr. Kan Zaw received the delegation led by Mr. Alexander Sergeevich Shatirov, Director of Fund RC-Investments from the Russian Federation in Naypyidaw.
Investment cooperation between the two nations will include uplifting trade and investments, travel and tourism, agriculture, mining, industry, electricity, energy, culture and education sectors, the statement said.
After February 2021 political transition, Myanmar and Russia made a closer connection than ever especially in economic and defense affairs.
The project of the #nuclear_power_plant in #Myanmar that was agreed upon by #Russia_Myanmar is also expected to develop its first tangible or intangible result by the end of this year.
